Quelques mots du parcours de Cyril Hermel :
Mon expérience martiale a commencé très tôt, vers l’âge de 10 ans, par le judo d’abord.
Après quelques années de pratique et un passage par la compétition, la crevette que j’étais alors s’est tournée vers le Kung Fu, probablement très inspirée par le cinéma Hongkongais de l’époque et ses scènes de combat aériennes.
La ceinture noire en poche, je me tourne alors vers le Wing Tsun que je pratique assidument pendant une dizaine d’années. La recherche d’ »efficacité » me propulse alors vers le kick boxing et le krav maga (un des effets secondaires de la testostérone…), que j’enseigne pendant un temps, parallèlement au Wing Tsun.
La rencontre décisive avec un grand praticien international de Feldenkrais va bouleverser mes certitudes concernant le corps, sa dynamique, et me faire (enfin!) réaliser que nous sommes des êtres « psycho-somatiques ».
Très attiré par ces liens corps-esprits et par le travail du Feldenkrais sur le système nerveux, l’organisation corporelle et autres délices, je m’inscris à la formation professionnelle qui s’ouvre à Paris et finis par devenir praticien de la méthode.
Ayant de plus en plus de mal avec les pratiques martiales dites « dures », de moins en moins en adéquation avec ce nouveau champ exploratoire, je me tourne enfin vers le Systema, dont le travail structurel, respiratoire et sans tension se marie tout à fait avec le Feldenkrais.
J’enseigne depuis de façon très imbriquée les deux disciplines (j’utilise certains concepts de Systema pour « dynamiser » mon enseignement du Feldenkrais, et du Feldenkrais pour accélérer le travail sur la posture et la structure dans mes cours de Systema…).
Les cours que nous dispensons, ma partenaire et moi, par le biais de notre Association, Origomotus, sont un véritable labo, très évolutif, dans lequel nous incorporons en permanence de nouveaux outils nous permettant d’avancer sur le chemin de l’exploration somatique (relâchement myofascial, Do-In, PNF, etc…).
