Eye and hand – [Paris] Contact Improvisations
What we love and do, why you should come to Paris to see it
Our collective was built to support and create new ways to navigate in many Contact Improvisations in Paris. For that, we have the pleasure of:
- organizing Paris CI International Exchange: RiCI. Its first version hosted eighty participants: contemporary dancers (professional or amateur) with or without an experience of CI, guided by six dancers and choreographers (Alexander technique, Gaga, hypnosis) and five scientists in the fields of social or biological sciences. Check out our article on the Contact Quarterly website!
- creating a google calendar for all Paris CI activities — and all you need to do is to click here to get to everything you ever wanted about CI in Paris and never dared to ask.
- hosting several workshops all year long, with Jurij Konjar, Charlie Morrisey, Ralf Jaroschinsky, and hopefully many others in the years to come, in collaboration with beautiful Paris venues like Canaldanse, Studio Keller, le Carreau du Temple, Faun Arts.
- creating our own ways of transmitting CI: talk+jams, a format inviting a scientist sharing his knowledge and transformed into a jam; CI & philosophy, a series of workshop inviting participants to delve into texts, thoughts and movements through one another; CI & Tamalpa, a series of workshop going through Life Arts Process as a means to discover the creativity imbedded their practice of CI.
The rest of the website is in French for the time being, so should you have any question, please send us an email!
